To achieve the efficiency and harmony needed for the realization of the organizational objectives, members of the Institute operate in the active organs of the Institute, defined within the following structure:
1- Founder 2- Board of Trustees 3- Board of Directors 4- Managing Director 5- Inspector
Founder
The Founder of the Institute act as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Founder’s responsibilities include approving and signing the Institute’s constitution, registering the Institute, appointing the members of the Board of Trustees, calling for Board meetings and distributing powers, duties and responsibilities among the Institutes’ main organs.
The Founder and current Chairman of the Board of Trustees is the former IRI President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the supreme policy/decision making organ, and if necessary, the executive body of the Institute, with all the legal powers and duties defined within the framework of the objectives, duties and administration of the Institute.
The most important duties and powers of the board include amending, changing and interpreting the constitution, defining the general policy, appointing the members of the Board of Directors and the Inspector, approving the Institute’s budget and expenses, receiving contributions, ratifying the internal directives and guidelines, and making the decision on the dissolution of the Institute
The Institute’s Board of Trustees will have a minimum of three and a maximum of fifteen members, including and chaired by the Institute’s Founder. Appointed for three year terms, members are all outstanding national, regional and international intellectuals, scientists and pacifist politicians.

Board of Directors
The Institute’s Board of Directors is in charge of the administrative management of the Institute. The three members of the Board are elected by the Board of Trustees for a period of two years.
Board of Directors is responsible for a variety of duties within the framework of the Institute’s organizational structure, such as planning the current and long term administrative programs, preparing financial reports for the Board of Trustees, supervising the banking operations, studying plans for administrative, financial and any other needed establishment and regulation, representing the Institute in all legal activities and interactions, facilitating the presentation of specialized services, and meticulously following up the dictates of the Board of Trustees.
The current members of the Board of Directors are:
Managing Director
The Managing Director is the highest administrative and executive official of the Institute, supervising all departments and administrative, executive tasks of the Institute. Appointed by the Board of Directors, the Managing Director is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Current Managing Director of the Institute is Hadi Khaniki.
Inspector
To make sure of the smooth and precise delivery of the Institute’s operations, the Board of Trustees appoints either an individual or legal entity as the Inspector for a period of one year. The Inspector can be re-appointed for the next one-year terms.
Current Inspector of the Institute is Mohammad Bagherian. |
